This conference has been organised by African Agri Council. It aims to bring together investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers interesting in exploring opportunities in Africa. In east Africa, for example, a key issue facing the agricultural industry is within transportation with inadequate infrastructure (roads, bridges, etc.), transport systems, and a shortage of refrigerated transport and approprate storage. It is with these issues in mind that the African Agri Council is organising the Agri Logistics East Africa Summit. The summit will examine emerging trends, explore the most pressing issues, discuss solutions, examine new technologies and discuss ideas for improving the transportation og goods in and out of the region. This is a unique event for the transport and logistics industry with the purpose of improving the process from farmer to market.
