Designed to attract asset owners and institutional investors from the Tri-State area, the 2016 edition of Tri-state Institutional Investor conference is scheduled to be held in the New York City. The discussion agenda for this year includes a variety of hot topics which are currently chalenging the minds of investors, including smart beta, asset allocation trends, investment in private equity and hedge funds, fiduciary responsibilities and fraud protection. Speakers include industry professionals, regional policy-makers and academics. This forum seeks, through consultation with the region’s key institutional investors,to encourage peer to peer learning to combine global best practices with local knowledge. The agenda covers smart beta, pension fund management, private equity allocation trends, real assets, operational issues, global equity market landscape, hedge fund allocation trends, asset recovery, securities litigation, distressed cycle and credit market navigation, interest rates and the credit cycle, real assets and non-traditional asset classes, fiduciary responsibility, and fraud protection. The aim is to bring together over one hundred staff members, investment officers, board members, and trustees representing the areas of New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.
