Covered Bonds conference in Singapore. In July 2015, DBS issued the first covered bond from Singapore, and this new market is now poised to develop its structure further with the recent debut of the covered bond structure. Now that covered bonds are a reality in Asia, the next stage of market development is to put together a local base of investors and expand the products further throughout the region. This conference will include discussions of how stakeholder needs can be balanced with housing sector financing, how covered bonds can help local capital markets to develop, and how the model may need to be modified for deployment in Asia.
