‘The Fundamentals of Performance Measurement and Attribution’, is a one-day, interactive CFA workshop that introduces performance analysis to delegates or, alternatively, an opportunity to revisit basic attribution calculations and principles. The event will be led by the highly-esteemed performance and risk expert Carl Bacon, CIPM, who will use live calculation exercises to explicate a range of useful attribution, risk and benchmark-analysis methods. Delegates will attend practical sessions, and both beginners and those more experienced will leave the event having broadened their understanding of performance measurements, with new skills that can be implemented immediately. Specifically, attendees will learn about the impact of cash flow on returns, the properties of a good benchmark, the role of performance measurement in asset management and how different methodologies can be used to calculate performance returns. The workshop is designed for professionals working in performance measurement, equity analysis, fixed income analysis, portfolio management, reporting, risk management and compliance.
