The 22nd Annual Bank Capital Management Conference takes place in London from 19 – 21st September 2018. It will focus on strategic capital management in order to improve performance during a time of increased regulatory requirements. The financial crisis proved to be a catalyst for numerous regulations including in the area of capital management. Banks were required to look at how their economic capital matched alongside their regulatory capital. With the increase in regulation, banks looked for a means to optimise their capital searching for ways to achieve return on equity in that environment.
