The International Foundation of Employee Pension Plans is proud to host the New Trustees Institute level 1 event in San Diego in 2017, focusing on core concepts. This event helps teach attendees their roles as trustees by providing them with knowledge of the most important issues involving the management of welfare, health and pension funds, as well as the complex environment of available benefits. New trustees in attendance will develop a basic understanding of key professional traits including fiduciary responsibility, best practices, key legal rules and regulations, and issues affecting the benefits industry.
